  • Tomato, white bean and fennel stew (GF, V)
‘I watch cooking change the cook, just as it transforms the food’ This is from ‘what goes with what’ a great and very easy recipe book. I made this recipe for the Rye Library Book Club. Everyone who made a recipe said that it was easier than they expected and more flavourful. I completely underestimated ...Read More »
  • Dried Fig and Honey Cheese ball (GF, V)
‘The culmination of one love, one dream, oneself, is the anonymous seed for the next’. There is very little difference between burying and planting. For often, we need to put dead things to rest, so new life can grow. Further than that, the thing we put to rest, whether it be a loved one, a ...Read More »
  • Butternut Squash Soup with Hazelnut Milk (GF, V)
‘Soup puts the heart at ease, calms down the violence of hunger, eliminates the tension of the day and awakens the appetite’ I adapted this recipe from Amy Chaplin’s, Whole Food Cooking. I liked the idea of hazelnuts in soup and had a butternut squash from my father in laws garden that needed eating before ...Read More »
  • Breakfast Cookies (GF, V)
‘Work when there is work to do. Rest when you are tired. One thing done in peace will most likely be better than ten things done in panic…I am not a hero if I deny rest; I am only tired…’ This week has been one of those weeks. Baby B was home for six days, ...Read More »

Modern Veda set me up for success. Understanding who I am internally helped to shape the best habits for the future. The tools are in my hands and I have the power to improve how I feel. I have more energy and feel better already. Modern Veda was patient with explanations and also understands the real world, as nothing works in a vacuum. Concrete plans and suggestions that also have room for reality is a path to success and Modern Veda set that up for me

Knowing Natasha's passion and dedication I was so pleased and lucky to have her as my ayurvedic consultant. I really do believe that diet plays a huge role on our health. Natasha has helped with my health and energy levels. Having a really demanding job and 2 young kids feeling calmer and less tired was a big concern for me. Within 2 weeks of just implementing some of the measures suggested by Natasha I already felt calmer and felt I had more energy.

Natasha's consultations have changed my life forever. Having undergone a medical in 2017, suggesting mid-thirties to go on statins for heart issues, Natasha worked with me to change my diet. With her guidance, I have completely reversed this, as well as fixing several other key concerns. My doctors were amazed at my recent medical! I feel ten years younger and have more energy than I've ever had.

I was diagnosed with Asthma, IBS, poly-arthritis (in every joint of my body) all before the age of 25 and I was told that I should expect never to feel 100% healthy or pain free. I was on five different medications all of which had such severe side effects that I had to have my blood taken once a week to make sure my organs where not going into failure. Today I am 100% medication free and pain free. This is due to the power of diet and lifestyle; this is the science of Ayurveda
